NU’EST (stands for New, Established, Style & Tempo) is an Urban Electro boy group under Pledis Entertainment (home of After School, Park Kahi, Son Dambi & Hello Venus). In December 2010, rumors were speculating whether the choir boys (in After School’s ‘Someone Is You’ track) was really a new boy group in the works. On February 2012, Pledis Entertainment uploaded a promotional video called “The 1st Pledis Auditions” where they announced they were on the search for the last member for their first and new boy group, “After School Boys” (also in which JR featured in). The boys were then introduced one by one through all types of promotional purposes (Music Videos etc). As the months went by and nearing their debut, Pledis decided to split the boys into 2 seperate groups, NU’EST and Tempest. NU’EST (consisting of Aron, JR, Baekho, Minhyun & Ren) then successfully made their Music Video and Stage debut on March 15, 2012 with their 1st single, ‘FACE’.
